Just a few minutes from the old part of San Pedro is where you'll find this beach and its 1600 metres of thick, golden sand and crystal-clear waters. Here you can enjoy the sun, bathing in the sea, and water sports, such as surfing and windsurfing and jetskiing, or take a pedalo with a room for all your friends. This beach has had a blue flag since 1992 (the highest quality rating) and has toilets, showers, watchtowers, lifeguards, and first aid. It's very popular with the locals and there are two bars where you can drink sangría.
Benalmádena is a town full of gorgeous natural beauty. The best way to take in all this natural beauty is from a height of 800 meters in a cable car. The Teleferico Benalmádena offers this opportunity in safe, modern cable cars that can comfortable accommodate about 4 people at a time. Though the journey is but 15 minutes long, the experience will be memorable for a lifetime. The route takes you through the town, covering both the Arroyo de la Miel and the Benalmádena Costa that comprise the town, and slowly descend higher and higher as it aspires to reach the top of the Calamorro Mountain. Throughout the journey you will be able to see the stunningly blue Mediterranean coastline, and, if weather permits, even catch a glimpse of the Strait of Gibraltar and even the African Coast. Reaching the summit is only the beginning, however, as there are loads of entertaining activities awaiting you. See the website for more information.
