Martha's Vineyard Arena is a multi-sport arena located in Oak Bluffs. The structure primarily serves as a year-round skating and hockey facility, complete with Pro shop for all your skating needs. Vineyard Arts Project in Edgartown is a lovely studio facility dedicated to promoting the performing arts on the island. The facility boasts rehearsal studios, workshops, classes and performances during the summer months. There are also living quarters for visiting performers and artists on-site.
The historic Union Chapel, with its unique octagonal cupola, was built in 1870 by the architect Samuel Freeman Pratt. The quaint and lovely building is located in the center of Oak Bluffs. The building is particularly known for having wonderful acoustics, which has made it one of the most popular spots on the island for weddings, performing arts, concerts and festivals.
Designed by ace architect, Charles Brigham, the Fairview Town Hall was built way back in 1892. Sporting a fascinating late Gothic Revival, almost Romanesque facade, the historic building looks every bit as regal and important as it still is. The historic Town Hall was deemed a National Historic Place in 1981.
