Although it's a small place and certainly not elaborate on the outside, the hospitality and atmosphere make this spot an island favorite. The crowd is typically a bit younger than what you'd find elsewhere, consisting mainly of retail workers who come after store hours from nearby shopping centers. The main bar is positioned under an arched dome that follows the Italian theme, and is surrounded by the hotel's esplanade. The open-air setting and bar area is plain during the early morning hours, but as the sun sets the area comes to life with energetic bartenders along with live entertainment that includes contemporary Hawaiian, jazz and other artists. During on-shore winds, the area fills with the scent of the salty sea, and the cool breezes mix with the perfectly prepared cocktails.
