"Indoor Sea Bathing"
During the 19th Century, when sea bathing was frowned upon, St Kilda Sea Baths was established and consisted on a number of bath houses where people could bathe in the ocean water. The baths were closed downin 1993. When the facility reopened, it had undergone massive change. Today, it is one of the city's most popular attraction and houses several shops, a gym and popular restaurants. However, the most popular attraction is the hydrotherapy spa which has its own heated ocean-water pool, thereby continuing the legacy of the bath house but taking it to the next level in terms of technology.
