Cafe Prima Pasta

Do not be deterred by the crowd milling about on the sidewalk, Cafe Prima Pasta has proven itself well worth the wait time. As the name suggests, the cafe specializes in homemade pasta. Although house made pastas are the main attraction, the expanded menu includes more meat and fish choices. Fresh tomato sauces are superb. Both indoor and outdoor seating are available.

Joe's Stone Crab

Fans of crustaceans should make it a priority to eat at Joe's Stone Crab. Since the restaurant's establishment in 1913, the folks at Joe's have been serving up the freshest, most delicious seafood in greater Miami. You can dip the house specialty in drawn butter or a mustard sauce. Reservations are not accepted, so get here very early or be prepared to wait. The place is a favorite with locals and tourists. Be sure to call during summer months, as the restaurant closes down during part of the summer.

J28 Sandwich Bar

As its name suggests, this place is known for its sandwiches that are prepared using traditional Peruvian techniques and ingredients. The interiors are minimalistic yet elegant with a service counter that faces a cluster of chairs and stools. The eatery serves two types of sandwiches; hot or cold, with the latter being the preferred choice for breakfast. Specialty items include the Egg and Turkey Sandwich, Butifarra and Chicken Salad Sandwich.

Monkitail

Gracefully housed in the Diplomat Beach Resort in Hollywood, Monkitail is perhaps the most highly-regarded Izakayas in town serving an impressive range of contemporary takes on traditional Japanese delicacies. The interiors are tastefully done and feature elaborate suspended lights, sleek furnishings, and intimate seating areas, making the restaurant a favorite among couples. If you aren't well-acquainted with modern Japanese cuisine, go for the Big Eye Tuna Special, Japanese Scallop, and the Lobster Tempura. Do try the cocktails from the bar.
