The outcome of an ambitious plan, the outskirts of the city are home to a series of parks. The project was started in the year 1990 with the aim of creating a large greenery land for recreational uses for the people in the city. The Green belts comprise six parks, namely Zabalgana, Zadorra, Armentia, Errekaleor, Olarizu, and Salburua. Beyond discovering the varied green spaces, the Green Belt also has programs to educate visitors on the ecological significance of the landscape.
Established in the year 1942, the Museo de Bellas Artes de Alava is a museum dedicated to Spanish fine art. More specifically, the museum features Basque artwork from 1850 to 1950. Besides, the museum also houses a fine collection of ancient coins that makes for interesting viewing. The Fine Arts Library in the venue is a treat to the eyes and a must-see for any art lover.
