Catch a show or a concert at the Chestnut Fine Arts Center when in Olathe. The performing arts center plays host to a number of shows annually, often showcasing and promoting local talent. Harris-Kearney House was originally built around 1855 and is the oldest brick wall structure in the city. The residence was used as a hotel and later as a commercial space during 1922. The villa is listed in the National Register of Historic Places for its notable architecture. Restored into a house museum by Westport Historical Society, it has some period artifacts including an 1841 pianoforte. The repository is open only seasonally.
