"A Chapel with a Welcome Simplicity"
This tiny chapel is that of the Dominicans, followers of the rule of St Augustine from which the adjacent street takes its name. The stark simplicity of the chapel sets it apart and offers a refreshing change from most other churches in the city center. A low, vaulted ceiling and simple, contemporary stained glass windows render it a little oasis of calm. Occasional concerts take place in the chapel and the Dominicans are also responsible for organising debates on diverse topics at the Lacordaire center, located next to the chapel in the rue des Augustins.
