Archdiocesan Heritage Museum

The Archdiocesan Heritage Museum is located on the first floor of the beautiful and well-maintained St. Pius X College in Goregoan (East). It is the first of its kind in Mumbai and is home to more than 130 Christian artifacts collected over 300 years from churches across Mumbai and Goa. The unique museum houses artistic liturgical pieces ranging from 16th-century church collection receipts, old manuscripts and religious documents to family altars procured from a ransacked villa in Goa, religious sculptures and paintings. At the entrance to the museum is a statue of the Body of Christ. The highlight of the museum is an engraved world map that features a timeline of Christianity and various historical events that shaped it.
