"Oldest Insect Museum in Japan"
Opened in 1919, the Nawa Insect Museum exhibits a collection of rare and attractive species of insects from all over the world. Besides the display area, there are informative sessions also about the insects. This attraction is located inside Gifu Park which is a beautiful site decorated with fountains, statues, artificial waterfalls etc. The museum building holds a historic significance as it was designed in a contemporary style by Goichi Takeda and hence registered as a Tangible Cultural Property.
