Enkū Museum is a place to head if you are a lover of sculptures; it is a museum built to honor the famous Japanese Buddhist monk and sculptor Enkū. Born in the 17th Century, the monk was known to have carved a great number of Buddha statues. Here, a few of those that remain today are on display alongside other artifacts.
Solar Ark
Established in 2002, the Solar Ark in Anpachi is one of the most fascinating and marvelous museums dedicated to science. The Museum is in shape of a solar ark that actually generates power with 5000 photo-voltaic cells that spans 315 meters (1033.46 feet) in width and 37 meters (121.4 feet) in height. The ark produces 530000 kWh throughout the year and is known to be one of the world's largest solar power houses.
