Les Caves du Beffroy

For generations the Lemaître family has been choosing excellent wines and spirits for its shop, which has been doing business in the Bouffay area of the city - just steps from Sainte-Croix church - since 1867. The shop has 350 types of whisky to choose from and if you're looking for an unusual aperitif Nantillais (a local speciality made with punch and Muscadet) is a good one to try. The sweets section is filled with irresistible Cluizel chocolates, Barnier sweets, dragées (sugared almonds), berlingots nantais (humbugs) and caramels au sel de Guérande.
