The Benicia Historical Museum
"Go Back in Time"
Located within the Camel Barns Complex, The Benicia Historical Museum was established in May 1985. The museum has a rich collection of Benicia's history and culture. There are exhibits that showcase the military brilliance of the city when camels were put into usage as pack animals in the 19th Century. There are close to 12,500 exhibits that feature artifacts, photographs, and documents. Guided and educational tours are available on prior booking. Various local musical concerts and other events also take place at the museum. Come in to discover the old Benicia.
