Santissima Trinita dei Pellegrini
"Most Holy Trinity of Pilgrims"
With a unique floor plan of design, the Santissima Trinita dei Pellegrini or as the “Most Holy Trinity of Pilgrims” is a house of worship located at Via Portamedina in Naples. Commissioned by Fabrizio Pignatelli di Monteleone, the church is a 16th Century architecture which was drafted by Carlo Vanvitelli, a renowned Italian architect. It was passed on to the Brotherhood of the Holy Trinity and is connected to the Santa Maria Materdomini church on the right. It is credited with the painting of “St. Joseph with Child Jesus” by Paolo De Matteis, and Angelo Viva’s stucco details of “San Filippo Neri.” A richly decorated choir in stucco details was done by Giovanni Antonio Medrano.
