Temple of Apollo

Visit the historic ruins of Temple of Apollo. As the name suggests, this temple was dedicated to the Greek god of Knowledge and Art, Apollo. Located in the Pompeii region, this temple dates back to 2nd Century BCE. The temple features the imported columns made of tuff stone from Nocera and have elements of Ionic, Corinthian and Doric designs. Though some sculptures were found in this temple, they are now showcased at the National Archeological Museum of Naples. Now, a copy of the statue of Apollo and bust sculpture of Diana are found in the temple.
