Bourbon Tunnel

The Bourbon Tunnel was originally built under the city of Naples as a way to connect the Naples military barracks to the Royal Palace. The tunnel also provided the citizens of the city shelter during the bombings which took place during World War II. Today, these tunnels with their accumulated debris have been turned into a gallery where the public can see interesting displays of vintage cars and motorbikes, old shelter spots and much more.

Lungomare Caracciolo

Catacombs of San Gennaro

The Catacombs of San Gennaro are ruins of Naples’ ancient paleo-Christian cemetery that dates back to the origin of Christianity. Comprising of the San Gaudioso, San Severo and San Gennaro cemeteries, this burial site was in use from the 3rd Century through to the 10th Century. Explore its two underground levels for an inspiring view of frescoes, arched passageways and chapels.

Via San Gregorio Armeno

Museum and Real Bosco di Capodimonte

Destined to house porcelain production, the Reggia di Capodimonte building was constructed on expansive grounds by Ferdinando Fuga in 1743. The porcelain drawing-room belonging to Queen Amalia of Saxony was established in 1759. Today, the many rooms display collections of porcelain and china from the Real Fabbrica di Capodimonte, collections of coins and weapons, medieval armor, and Flemish tapestries.
