Tootsie's Orchid Lounge

When country music icons used to sing at the Grand Ole Opry, Tootsie's Orchid Lounge rose to fame for hosting them after the 'big show'. Fans continue to flock here to watch both well-known musicians and up-and-coming local talent, and the atmosphere hasn't changed at all. Despite the small stage, the sound is enormous. Whether you're a fan of country music or simply looking to experience the vibrant nightlife of Nashville, Tootsie's Orchid Lounge is a must-visit destination.

The Mercy Lounge

Located in the historic Cannery building, Mercy Lounge has an interesting past. It began its journey in 1863 as a flour mill and later became a coffee grinding shop. In 1957, the Dale Company took over the building and manufactured processed food items, such as jams, peanut butter and jelly. In the early 1970s, a restaurant and theater sprang up in the building. Famous artists such as Jimmy Cliff, Iggy Pop, Lenny Kravitz and Robin Trouer have performed at this venue. The lounge has a seating capacity of 500 and an adjacent room that has pool tables and pinball machines. The Mercy Lounge opens its doors at 8 in the evening every day except Sunday.

The Exit has long been the source of live entertainment in the Elliston Square area, but over the course of its history it has suffered neglect. It is amazing that a club that was featured in movies and books, and even Rolling Stone magazine, could fall into such disrepair. Unwilling to see the club close down, Ned Horton stepped in and took over ownership. Today, after much renovation, including a new sound and lighting system, Horton has rebuilt the Exit's reputation as a premier music venue. Changing the name to Exit/In and booking a more eclectic mix of artists, Horton brought this little club, as well as the entire Elliston Square area, back to life.

The Stage on Broadway

The Stage on Broadway is one of the biggest hits in Downtown Nashville. This authentic country western club rocks all week long, so expect to see a crowd and line every night, but it is worth the wait. It's the kind of place where you can let loose, have a blast, and experience the true spirit of Nashville. Talented bands belt out those twangy tunes that make you want to two-step and holler along. It's like the soundtrack of the South playing live before your very eyes. Celebrity sightings include Miranda Lambert, Ricky Skaggs, Clay Walker, and Jo Dee Messina. When it comes to food, here you will be served up with Southern comfort like nobody's business. From finger-licking BBQ that's smoky perfection to hearty burgers that hit the spot, the menu is a celebration of Southern flavors that'll have you licking your lips.

Wildhorse Saloon

This is "the" place to kick your spurs up in Music City. The dance floor is the largest in Nashville, and the music and dancing are virtually nonstop. If showing off your moves makes you hungry, the kitchen offers a full lunch and dinner menu and the bar serves up frosty mugs of your favorite imported and domestic brews. This place is perfect for a night out with friends, a birthday party or for "boot-scootin'" with your sweetheart.

Springwater Supper Club & Lounge

Springwater is a historic dive bar located in Nashville. One of the city's oldest watering holes, Springwater has been serving locals and visitors since the 1890s. The place has a laid-back and unpretentious atmosphere, attracting a diverse crowd of patrons. It is known for its live music performances, featuring local bands and artists playing a variety of genres.
