"Cable-Stayed Bridge"
Considered to be one of the largest cable-stayed bridges in Brazil, the Newton Navarro Bridge was built between 2004 and 2007. The sole purpose of this bridge was to ease the vehicular traffic and connect the North and South Zone. Constructed over the Potengi River, it stretches across a length of 1781.6 meters (5845.14 feet). The bridge sees a traffic of of 25,000 vehicles per day and remains to be a tourist attraction because of its grand architecture.
