Ostarrichi-Kulturhof

Visitors are invited on a journey through 1,000 years of Austrian history. A benefice (feudal estate) endowed by the 16-year-old Emperor Otto III formed the basis for the Austria of today. A faithful copy of the original deed of donation from 995 forms the centrepiece of the memorial site in Neuhofen. At that time the area was still called 'Ostarrichi', which later evolved into the name 'Österreich' or Austria. Regular special exhibitions present Austrian traditions.
