"Late Gothic Town Hall"
The landscape of Neumarkt in der Oberpfalz is defined by rustic houses and architectural marvels, and the town's Rathaus is no exception. This late Gothic structure looks magnificent amid a host of other beautiful buildings on the square. Its façade bears the splendid coat of arms, along with a Latin inscription and a monogram. In the 20th Century, the simple interiors of the town hall were renovated to feature intricate neo-Renaissance furnishings. Unfortunately, the building was destroyed in 1945, after which it was rebuilt in a simpler form, still maintaining its original charm. Today, it serves as a symbol of the glorious history of Neumarkt.
