"Lindheimer House"
This house was built by the Father of Texas Botany, Ferdinand Jacob Lindheimer in 1852. Lindheimer became very well-known for his collections and scientific observations, that were then being distributed to institutions not only in the U.S. but abroad. It has been recognized as a listed Texas Historic Landmark since 1936. The museum is presently operated by the New Braunfels Conservation Society. Visitors can also walk through the small adjacent garden, which is landscaped with many fragrant plants.
