Built during the war in 1812, Fort Clinton was named after the then mayor, DeWitt Clinton. This old fort was connected with two other forts named Nutter’s Battery and Fort Fish. Set atop an elevated area, it features memorials with two cannons with plaques. Visitors can enjoy unobstructed views of the scenic lake Harlem Meer.
