"A Peaceful Tribute"

This small park is home to a unique geometrical installation that is more than just a beautiful design. Located along Greenwich Avenue's triangular traffic island, The New York City AIDS Memorial was built to honor the city's thousands of men, women, and children who have died from AIDS. Opened on World AIDS Day in 2016, it is now a peaceful meeting space for locals. The memorial features a tall steel canopy of triangles with an engraved granite panel at its base that features lines from Walt Whitman's "Song of Mysel"'.
