H. Won Tai Chi Institute

"For Fitness Fanatics"

This is a serious tai chi chuan martial arts center run by fitness masters. The strengthening of the student in every respect is emphasized here, based upon traditional Chinese disciplines. While tai chi is regarded as a form of martial art, the emphasis here is not on the physical. Wu chi training is a major part of the curriculum, serving to erode tensions and eliminate negativism by allowing relaxation and spiritual concentration. There is also calligraphy, philosophy, age-old dance movements, meditation and a spiritual quest. Fees vary.
