Orsay

by  anjeeta nayar

"Vive la France!"

This elegant little brasserie evokes turn-of-the-century charm with its Art-Nouveau style and mahogany wood paneled walls straight out of a Left Bank painting. The food is also delightfully Gallic, with all the traditional favorites like escargot, onion soup and homemade Boudin Noir, all of which are outstanding. Orsay is the sister restaurant of the defunct restaurant La Goulue, and though this highly acclaimed restaurant is closed, patrons at Orsay can still have their magnificent steak tartare and famous Canard à l'Orange.
