"A Walk in the Park"

This small East Harlem park is located right behind the Harlem Courthouse. The park is essentially a short pathway lined with trees. The park's main attraction is "Growth," a red, 15-foot (4.6-meter) sculpture of a tree and birds. Originally built by Jorge Luis Rodriguez in 1985, the sculpture was the first public work of art to be commissioned by the City of New York.
