"Nature's Candy Dish"

Don't let the name dissuade you, chef and owner Amanda Cohen named her vegetarian restaurant Dirt Candy because she insists that vegetables are candy from the earth. And with what her kitchen does with vegetables, she is absolutely correct. Fun, innovative and frequently award-winning, the restaurant is perfect for anyone with an adventurous palate. Although the menu isn't the largest around, every item is prepared with care, love and no meat. Every item on the menu can also be made vegan upon request. Dishes are simply named after their main ingredients like broccoli, fennel, or eggplant. Dishes on the changing menu might include grilled and smoked broccoli dogs with broccoli kraut and mustard barbecue sauce; cauliflower and curry with green pea paneer, papaya chutney and pappadam and intriguing desserts like onion chocolate tart with smoked almond ice cream. Carnivores won't miss the meat at all. The restaurant also offers a diverse selection of drinks including beer, wine and cocktails. Reservations are highly recommended.
