Omen

Opened since 1981 in trendy Soho, Omen was one of the original restaurants that introduced the sushi craze to New York, thereby the rest of America. Omen has its original restaurant in Kyoto and the influence found in that city is highlighted in their New York locale, where styles with an affinity to the old capital like shabu-shabu and sashimi reign supreme. The decor is simple, zen-like and tranquil, yet modern enough to know you are in one of the coolest neighborhoods in the entire United States.
