Mechanical Hall

1. The Mechanical Hall Gallery finds its home in the diverse fabric of art and culture at the University of Delaware. Exploring the rich confluence of African American art, and educating patrons about its centrality as a medium of self-expression, is at the heart of the Gallery’s mission. Visit to witness beautiful art done by the technique of printmaking, and photographs of existing pieces of art and sculpture. There is also a printroom to assist a comprehensive study of this art that has taken birth after the convergence of two unique cultures. The Gallery supports intensive research and teaching related to this art, and houses multifarious resources to aid the process.
