Established by Claudia Zeber-Martell and Michael Martell, Zeber-Martell Gallery & Clay Studio is a Contemporary-style art gallery on Furnace Street. Opened in the year 1985, this gallery showcases various artworks like sculptures, jewelry, pottery, handblown glass and a lot more. They even host pottery classes for art lovers. This gallery also sells a variety of handcrafted objects like lamps, showpieces and cups.
Located in University of Akron’s large campus, Emily Davis Gallery is part of the prestigious Mary Schiller Myers School of Art. This spacious gallery is set in Folk Hall. The Paul A. Daum Theatre is tucked inside the Kolbe Hall located at the University of Akron. James Rhodes Arena situated on the campus of The University of Akron is a state-of-the-art basketball arena that plays host to the home matches of university's basketball team, Akron Zips. Both men's and women's basketball team of the university practices and plays competitive matches at this very arena. Opened in 1983, this arena is named after the former governor of Ohio for two separate terms. Apart from the world-class playing surface and comfortable seating area, James Rhodes Arena features team locker rooms, team lounges and a state-of-the-art gymnasium for the conditioning of athletes.
Established in 1839, the Glendale Cemetery is worth a visit for its splendid architecture and garden.
