Try their peach fritter which is very popular and has been named as the must try donut in the state of Alabama. They also serve beignets every Saturday. Since their opening they have received several accolades and the cafe is an ideal place to drop by enjoy a quick snack with your friends, or meet someone for business, or simply sit down with your laptop and use their free WiFi while you enjoy their baked treats.
Located at the English Village shopping center in Mountain Brook, Chez Lulu serves an eclectic version of classic French cuisine. The restaurant resembles a playful combination of classic bistro and second-hand shop. The tables are an interesting metal construction, and the walls are adorned with miscellaneous antique objects. The menu features classic French cuisine like vegetable tarts and soups made fresh each evening. As an extension of the Continental Bakery next door, Chez Lulu serves excellent bread and wonderful pastries for dessert. Chez Lulu also offers live entertainment, including accordian players every Sunday and bellydancers every other Thursday evening.
