Formerly known as the RBC Center, PNC Arena is an indoor, multi-surface, 20,000-seat arena used primarily to host basketball and hockey matches, and concerts. Opened in 1999, the arena is home to the National Hockey League's Carolina Hurricanes and the North Carolina State University men's basketball team. Amenities include 75 luxury suites, 2,000 club seats, and restaurants. The arena also hosts ice shows, circuses, corporate meetings, and trade shows.
Located on Duke University's East Campus, this Auditorium is used by the University's Music Department to conduct shows and promote music. The interiors are beautifully done with comfortable seating, a lovely balcony and a stunning dome shaped roof. The Baldwin Auditorium also has a skylight of florescent lights giving it remarkable lighting even at night. This 890 seat venue can be rented out for a wide range of performances or music concerts.
Motorco Music Hall is a popular bar and music venue in the Central Park district of downtown Durham. They have a full bar with an extensive liquor and wine listing as well as bottled microbrews and a rotating selection of twelve different beers on tap. Motorco is usually closed on Mondays but may open for an event or concert so be sure to check their website for the latest music schedule. Some seating is available around the bar and outside but why would you be sitting when your favorite band is playing anyways? Unless stated otherwise, Motorco requires patrons be 21 years of age or older.
The Cary Arts Center forms the epicenter of the artistic and cultural map of the city. The center is home to an impressive theater that can accommodate over 400 spectators.
