Located in the city of Claremont, the Pomona College Museum of Art is a teaching museum which features student artwork from the private liberal-arts college as well as pieces from more established artists. The exhibitions are definitely eclectic, some of the past ones have included exhibits on Chinese snuff bottles, stencil drawings, sculpture and paintings from writer-composer and Pomona alumnus John Cage. Needless to say the varied media is impressive. Moreover, the James Turrell Skyspace is an architectural wonder which focuses on the nature of light and how it is emitted. The lighting programs within the room are timed for sunrise and sunset in order to amplify the color in the space.

Admission is always free and the galleries are closed on Fridays, Sundays and Holidays.

The museum provides information as well as exhibits about the entire Riverside area and the replica dinosaurs in the Granite Hill Nursery are always fascinating for the kids. Located on California State University Fullerton, the Campus Sculpture Collection is an outdoor display scattered throughout the campus. From bizarre to artistic, these sculptures often have a whimsical tone and are made from everything from wax to steel to fiberglass. Walk through the campus to take a look at the artwork, including the Sea Bee which was created from a salvaged fuel ship and it looks like a ship is sinking into the lawn. Some other notable works include Fallen David, a replica of Michelangelo’s David that was broken into pieces during an earthquake of 1987, Arise by Eric Goulder and Lloyd Hamrol's Redoubling Wallpath, to name a few.
Ygnacio Palomares Adobe was a family home of Don Ygnacio Palomares. This one storey house museum was abandoned during the 18th century and was restored by the Historical society and city of Pomona after which it is turned into a historic museum and attraction. Built during the 18th century, this Mexican styled adobe focuses on the relics, equipment and objects used by the early inhabitants of California. The adobe consists of a beautiful garden that is surrounded with rose trees and shrub.

The Hathaway Ranch Museum is home to several tools and equipments that were used for farming in ranching back in the 1930's. The large display of tools also includes drilling and mining equipment, that started to be used once oil was found in the region. The Museum is still owned and managed by the Hathaway family, and is an impressive exhibit of the mining history of Los Angeles County. There is also a machine shop within the premises, that displays a range of antique machine tools that ran on flat belts. The property also consists of a Spanish-Mediterranean-style ranch house, where members of the Hathaway family resided.
The Workman and Temple Family Homestead Museum is an amazing house museum that was occupied by the Workman and the Temple family ages ago. The mansion consists of a beautiful patio that is centered by a huge fountain. The tiled roofs and shaded grapevine walkways is a great example of the site being well maintained and preserved. The museum provides a glimpse into California's past. The only way to visit this attraction is through the guided tours that are offered every Wednesday through Sunday from 1 Pm to 3 Pm and the La Casa Nueva from 2 Pm to 4 Pm. They also conduct group, private and tours for children.
