A spectacular landmark situated within the verdant boundaries of the Black Forest, the Triberg Waterfalls are known to be among the tallest in Germany. The descent of the falls is 163 meters (534.777 feet) which is about 872 meters (2860.89 feet) above sea-level. This spot is quite well known and frequented not just by locals but also by tourists.
The Stüben stream plunges with a deafening sound from the high valley of Todtnauberg over several high rock cliffs into the Wiesen Valley below. The Todtnau Water Falls have been under preservation order since June 1987. While visitors enjoy the fine cool spray in the summer, in the winter they are enchanted by a bizarre, icy landscape.

Shrouded in myth and legend, Tatzelwurm is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Upper Bavaria. Classified as a geotope, these waterfalls are part of the Mangfall Mountains in Bavaria's alpine landscape. The water plunges in three stages several meters down to the bottom. Nestled amid verdant environs which accentuate its majesty, the Wasserfall Tatzelwurm is a splendid sight to behold.
