At the Espace Julien all types of music are represented, from rap to reggae, jazz to rock. The auditorium has 1000 seats alongside the 150-capacity cafe. There are concerts throughout the year. If you enjoy performing arts then do visit the theater while in the city.
Previously known as Le Balthazar, Le Molotov is a unique venue quite unlike its competitors. Musicians from the region, as well as from all over the world, bring a wide variety of styles and cultures. Le Molotov is not partial to any particular musical genre; instead, you can enjoy anything from reggae and rock to jazz and hip hop at this venue. Famous bands like Burning Streets and The Aggrolites have performed here in the past.
The city's hippest entertainment and exhibition venue might not look much from the outside, but venture inside and its unique décor and fantastic atmosphere tell another story. Spread over 5000 square meters (16,400 square feet), the 'Docks' is home to concerts, cabaret, exhibitions, and restaurants offering global cuisine and a 3000-seat auditorium. Although right in the heart of the city's docklands, the place manages to recreate a village-like atmosphere. This is perhaps best experienced during 'Fiesta des Suds', an annual fest including music, food and art from around the Mediterranean that takes place in October and is one of the most popular events on the venue's year-round program.
Le Dôme gets its name from its stunning architecture, a futuristic dome that resembles the hull of an overturned ship. This indoor auditorium opened its doors in 1994 and has since featured some of the biggest names in the entertainment business. It can accommodate 8,500 persons and hosts concerts, performances, theatrical productions and corporate conventions. The likes of Bob Dylan, Metallica, Eric Clapton, Sting, Celine Dion, the Roland Petit ballet and top international comedians have graced this stage.
