Casa Broner is a historic home which was built, as the name implies, by the famous painter and architect Edward Broner in 1960. The house has been declared a monument of cultural interest on the island of Ibiza. People visit this home for its architectural excellence and interior decor. The ancient 'Upper Town' of Ibiza, lovingly known as Dalt Vila, ambles up the slopes of the Puig de Vila, meandering through a jumble of whitewashed houses, sunlit courtyards, cobbled alleyways and streets, and above all, a rich maze of culture and history. From amid the arsenal of buildings, the Cathedral of Ibiza dominates this historic Old Town, and the Town Hall, the Museu Puget, and the Plaza de Espana lie surrounding it. The seafront citadel, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, was the built at the behest of Philip II in the 16th Century, as its privileged position on the Mediterranean put at risk of invasion from Ottomans and pirates.

Within the fortified ramparts that lie short of Ibiza's sparkling blue harbor, the crumbling walls of this Gothic religious landmark recall the city's medieval past. The Ibiza Cathedral, a greying monument dedicated to Saint Mary, was the result of a promise honored by the Catalonian troops under Guillem de Montgrí to establish a parish following the conquest of Ibiza. After the city of Ibiza was conquered in 1235, the cathedral was built on the erstwhile site of the Yebisah mosque. While an exquisite blend of Gothic and Valencian elements dominated the cathedral's architecture in the beginning, it was retouched with Baroque infuences in the later years. Apart from operating as the city's principal church, the cathedral is also home to a wealth of artworks, from a Gothic monstrance by Francesc Martí, to two Gothic panels of Saint Tecla and Saint Anthony.

The Museo Puget is an art gallery where 130 paintings by Narcís Puget Viñas and Narcís Puget Riquer are showcased. They are great artists from Ibiza whose artworks have been very influential. The museum pays homage to these creative geniuses, and their work can be seen here on a daily basis except for holidays. If you are a true art lover then it is a must that you visit the Museo Puget to see the exemplary work of art by these two great artists.

Ibiza's salt flats are among the most beautiful areas on the island. Located between San Jorge and the Ses Salines beach, they are part of a nature reserve where several species of animals live. One of the ends of the salt flats is topped off with a huge mountain of salt sporting color stands against the green of the pine trees that surround it. The salt flats were used as far back as the Punic era, and for many years were an important source of income for the island. This walking tour is an enjoyable day trip.

This museum perhaps resembles a large beautiful villa but in reality is so much more than that. Museu d'Etnografia d'Eivissa is housed in a former church. The facade is white as it can be with some of the rarest artifacts on display within. All the articles exhibited like jewelry, clothes, weapons and other items provide a wealth of information regarding life in the gorgeous town of Santa Eulalia De Riu.

This lovely whitewashed church stands in the main village square. Outside its front door there is cultivation of almond trees that flower in early February each year with such an intensity that you'd think it was snowing; it is most beautiful in spring time. The church was built between 1785 and 1806; today it hosts an annual congress of poets and musicians during the first few days of February. Take a leisurely tour to admire the beautiful architecture or attend a Sunday mass.
