Café Brazil is a Dallas institution and while there are a few locations around town, each one distinctly represents the area it's located. The two main locations are in Deep Ellum and by Southern Methodist University and both are open 24/7. It is quite common to see students burning the midnight oil, people getting out of the clubs, truck drivers and attorneys at all hours tucking into the great food. The sandwiches are on thick slices of homemade bread and piled high with toppings. The omelets are made with farm fresh eggs and served with rosemary potatoes and grilled bread. Gloria's is a Latin restaurant/club in Dallas serving authentic cuisine for lunch and dinner. Parties are commonly held here, and on weekends, the floor is cleared to make room for salsa dancing. There is often a live band performing on these occasions. Happy hour is Monday through Thursday all day and Fridays from 3p-7p, with phenomenal drink specials (bar is open from 11p-2a).
