This mother-and-daughter owned shop sells botanicals and Native American art. Both the art and the herbs are curated from local sources. Inside, the artwork comes from members of different tribes in Arizona; some of which include the Hopi, Tohono O'Odham and Gila River nations among others. The staff is very knowledgeable about the plants, both those used in ceremonies as well as those used in a more secular fashion. Definitely a must-see shop if you're are looking for Native American products.
Proper Meats + Provisions functions as both a butcher shop and a casual eatery where the kitchen serves only the best meat and poultry in Northern Arizona. All of their meat is sourced from farmers in the Four Corners region and though it may not be within a 100-mile radius, all of the animals are all raised humanely, without antibiotics and primarily grass fed. The eatery features sandwiches, sausages, charcuterie, salads and if you don't eat here, try the two other restaurants Brix or Criollo, these two restaurants located in the historic downtown area are also from the owners at Proper.
