An intimate place with dim ambient lighting and cosy vibes, Al Sur de Granada is a tapas bar and also a grocery. They have a wide range of Spanish wines and beers to choose from, and tapas (snacks and appetizers) to pair with the liquids. After you're done with the binging, you can choose some local products, from their shelves and cellars, to take home. They sell really nice craft beer and wine (they serve from the same range, so you could pick the one you really loved drinking), local cheeses and embutidos (sausage), hams, honey, jams, olive oil, sweetmeat and honey. Al Sur de Granada can be tried for a taste of authentic Andalusian food and drinks.
This sports store is part of the Grupo Base chain, which has 160 outlets in Spain. This particular one specialises in selling skiing equipment, a popular sport here, as the Sierra Nevada ski slopes are only 40km away. At other times of year the emphasis is on beach gear, trekking equipment, tennis and short tennis clothes and racquets. There's a good selection of casual wear as well.
Spain's highest quality department store chain has two branches in town: this one and another on Calle Arabial. The focus is on good quality and excellent customer service. The store stocks pretty much everything you could need. You pay a bit more for your shopping but it's often worth it for the convenience of having everything under one roof and the undoubtedly superior quality. The supermarket is in the basement, along with the café and the key-cutting booth. The ground floor has perfumes, cosmetics, books, music and cameras. The first floor has women's and children's clothes and shoes, a hairdressing salon and the customer service desk. The second floor displays men's fashions as well as computer, audio and telephone equipment. The third and fourth floors are dedicated to sports goods.
