Located inside the Franklin Cultural Arts & Recreation Center, the Our Town Players is a state-of-the-art theater that focuses on the promotion of performing arts. The theater is used to host shows in diverse genres that are a sheer pleasure to watch. With a great sound and light systems, the plays performed here are amazing to view. The theater is also given out on rental basis for private functions. If you are interested in performing arts, Our Town Players is sure to give you some insight into the local culture of the city.
Hancock County Fairgrounds or more popularly known as Hancock County 4-H Fairgrounds since it is the base of the annual 4-H Fair. The grounds can be rented out throughout the year for receptions, trade fairs, livestock shows and more. It features an exhibit hall, barns, show arenas, a food shelter, commercial building, a stage and restrooms.
Founded in 1965, the Hancock County Historical Society owns and operates the Old Log Jail Museum and the Chapel in the Park Museum. The museum is open to public from April through October, and is dedicated to the collection, preservation of the rich culture and heritage of Hancock County. The museum is home to a large collection of artifacts, and some of the noteworthy exhibits being the pioneer-era items, Democratic Party rooster and the civil war memorabilia and much more. The venue also hosts a variety of public events and historical functions.
