Contained in the Jussy municipality of Switzerland, Monniaz is a small village. It is touted to be the highest village of Geneva canton. A protected natural reserve in the Doubs department of France is the Lac de Remoray or the Lake of Remoray. This beautiful clear lake is a popular bathing place for locals as it offers a great golden sand beach at one of its shores. The surrounding area is also well known among many walkers for its trails through the sparse forest of the region. The lake is famed for its superb bird species that can be seen here during breeding for migration time. The snipe, water rail, spotted crane, coots coot, grebe, mute swan, tufted ducks, corncrakes, and black woodpecker are some of the most marvelous species that can be found here.
