The Toganji Temple is an ancient 16th-century Buddhist temple in the Motoyama ward of Nagoya which features a 50 foot (15 meters) sea green Buddha statue. The temple is inspired by Hindu culture as it includes a Shiva Linga and a shrine dedicated to the Hindu Goddess of knowledge: Goddess Saraswati, who is worshiped during the Benzaiten Festival held every year on the 7th of May.
Established in 2002, the Solar Ark in Anpachi is one of the most fascinating and marvelous museums dedicated to science. The Museum is in shape of a solar ark that actually generates power with 5000 photo-voltaic cells that spans 315 meters (1033.46 feet) in width and 37 meters (121.4 feet) in height. The ark produces 530000 kWh throughout the year and is known to be one of the world's largest solar power houses.
