The small, 10 meters (33 feet) high waterfall can be accessed by taking a circular trail around the town. The trail itself is beautiful beyond words, offering spectacular, panoramic views of the valley below, with the waterfalls as the final reward. The parking is at the town hall, and access is only on foot.
The wildly romantic valley traverses the Allgäu framed by the Griesgundkopf, Fellhorn, Söllerkopf and Schmalhorn mountains. It is well known for its extraordinarily beautiful countryside. The intense blue of the mountain brook contrasts picturesquely with the grey of the gravel plain and the dark green of the surrounding fir trees and offers the hiker a beautiful backdrop. A popular destination for an outing is also the Heini-Klopfer ski-flying jump.
