Named after the Neshaminy Creek, the Neshaminy State Park is located on the banks of the Delaware River. The park which spans across 339 acres (137 hectares) is lined with picnic spots and also contains an estuary. The Neshaminy State Park is frequented by many for its private swimming pools and motorboats rides which take place on the river. The main swimming pool is open from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day and the park is also home to a tiny spray pool. Located closely to downtown Philadelphia on the Camden Waterfront, this exclusive aquarium features 8,500 aquatic species throughout two million gallons of water. Here, you will come across the largest collection of sharks including the hammerhead shark on as well as two rare scalloped hammerhead sharks.
