The Historic Dance Pavilion at Oaks Park is a lovely space for private events. Dating back to more than a century, it is set in the popular Oaks Amusement Park and overlooks the Willamette River. This elegant venue is used for weddings, occasional concerts, galas, balls, family reunions and fund-raisers. The historic photos and vintage carousel displays add to the character of the place.
Conceptualized by Emmy Award-winning choreographers Jamey Hampton and Ashley Roland, the BodyVox Dance Center excels in creative productions that are a blend of dance, theater and film. Since it was founded in 1997, this avante-garde dance center has won endless accolades and awards for their myriad performances, the most noteworthy being 'Unleashed' and 'Deere John'. The center is housed in a sprawling event space in Portand's Pearl District and comprises of sub-facilities such as a theater, education studio, rehearsal studio and performance space as well as a resourceful costume storage space.
As an extension of his gregarious personality, entertainer Tony Starlight launched the Tony Starlight Showroom in 2014. A swanky venue that hosts sterling performances reminiscent of Vegas shows, the showroom is a premier destination in Portland for a dinner show. This sumptuous showroom is equipped with enhanced acoustic features engineered to thrill the audience and plenty of classy lighting. The accompanying dinner arrangement is laudable as well, with spacious communal-style seating ensuring that you mingle with your co-audience.
