The distinguished Kent-Valentine House is a historic home site in the Richmond region of Virginia. The monumental house was built in 1840s and has adapted the Colonial Revival style of architecture. The mansion houses the Historic Garden Week project and can also be hired for special occasions and celebrations.
A red-brick structure built in the Gothic-Revival style, Immanuel Episcopal Church can trace its beginnings back to 1853. The church is surrounded by the cemetery on three sides. Immanuel Episcopal Church was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1996.
Established in 1962, the Rice House was designed by architect Richard Neutra for the industrialist Walter Lyman Rice. Done up in a chic modern international style, the house looks splendid in twilight. After Rice's death, the family donated the place to Science Museum of Virginia that now exclusively uses the property for events and as a guesthouse for visiting scientists. The site is now a part of the US National Register for Historic Places since 1999.
Westover Episcopal Church is a time-honored Episcopal place of worship found between Williamsburg and Richmond in Virginia. Constructed in the year 1731, it has witnessed a rough past. During the American Revolution, it faced complete neglect and was subsequently shunned in the year 1803. Put in use as a horse shed by the war troops of American Civil War, it has been remodeled and serves as an active house of worship. Noted personalities who have visited the church include former presidents Theodore Roosevelt and Thomas Jefferson, among others.
