Built around 1819, Clarke–Palmore House is a brick wall structure. The farmhouse is restored to represent its period and is listed in the National Register Of Historic Places. Converted into a museum, it showcases how farming was practiced during the period. The museum houses some of the artifacts from the period and is also available on rent for hosting private events and cultural gatherings. Visits can be arranged by appointment,
Belle Air Plantation is a huge plantation in Charles City, Virginia. Situated on 135 acres (55 hectares) of land this place has a main house which has been maintained well with the exteriors being made out of timber and designed in a classic style. Surrounded by beautiful gardens which are open during the Historic Garden Week. Guided tours are available of this place and visitors are advised to take an appointment before visiting.
The Valentine First Freedom Center was established in 2015 and houses the statue of Thomas Jefferson. As Thomas Jefferson was the freedom icon of the country, the museum demonstrates the country's struggle for freedom. A history of how religious freedom was fought for and practiced is explained here. The museum captures the essence of freedom moment that took place by exhibiting some photographs and presenting some scenes from the period.
