Having undergone a major facelift in 2015, the Bendetti Diamond works as a sprawling ballpark, while its 3D turf, made with eco-friendly, recyclable material, enables patrons an immersive viewing experience. Complete with well-made spectator decks and a viewing deck for donors and VIPs, a clubhouse and meeting rooms for USF (University of San Francisco) events, Bendetti Diamond is truly the architectural centerpiece of the university. This expansive stadium is the home field of the San Francisco Dons.
James P. Edoff Memorial Bandstand situated in Lakeside Park overlooking the calm waters of Lake Merritt has been playing host to the performance of the popular Oakland Municipal Band since 1918. Designed by Walter Reed and William Corlett, this bandstand was named after James P. Edoff, the first president of Oakland Board of Park Commissioners. This bandstand underwent major renovation after suffering damage because of the Loma Prieta Earthquake in 1989. Oakland Municipal Band play at this venue every weekend attracting a decent crowd of music lovers regularly.
