Gardner J. Kingman House is located in Brockton, Massachusetts. It was designed by architect Wesley Lyng Minor and was built in 1886. The building has a Queen Anne style of architecture and was added to the National Historic Register in July 25, 1977.
This town hall that was constructed in 1881 was included in the National Register of Historic Places in 1981. It is now home to the Walpole Police Department.
The Rose Island Lighthouse is a historic lighthouse built in 1869, and is an independent building that operated for over 100 years as a watchtower for the boats and ships sailing past the coast. Restored to its 1912 authentic decor complete with furnishings, furniture and accessories, it is now a local museum that offers a glimpse into the maritime history as well as local culture of the colonial town of Newport. Tours of the lighthouse are available with an admission fee of USD5 for adults and USD4 for kids. The lighthouse is available for visit from July 1st - Labor Day from 10am to 4pm. Visitors also have a unique opportunity to stay overnight or for a week in the lighthouse to experience living history. Group tours are also available on request. The Rose Island Lighthouse is only accessible via ferry which includes Starfish boat from Alofsin Pier in Fort Adams State Park from June to October and from Admirals Dock in Fort Adams State Park from November to May on prior arrangement when visiting on overnight or weekly stays. Daily visitors can use the Jamestown Ferry service in July and August.
