Manito Park

Manito Park in Spokane is found the scenic South Hill region. The park is home to a duck pond, conservatory and five beautiful gardens visited by countless visitors ever years. Some areas of the park remain as hinterland. The landscape is dominated by cliffs and rocks in areas which are not completely developed. Sledding remains a popular activity during winters when lower Manito's hills are covered with grass. Spokane Falls

Riverfront Park

One of the main entertainment hubs in Spokane, Riverfront Park provides great family entertainment while still having enough secluded spots for someone who just wants to enjoy nature. Many attractions and landmarks reside within the park, including the Looff Carousel and the historic Clock Tower. Many of the city's popular family festivals take place here, especially in the summer.

John A. Finch Arboretum

John A. Finch Arboretum is 56.65 acres (22.92 hectares) of landscape that feature both regional and exotic plants. The arboretum is the perfect place for a walk or to learn about different plant species. There is a picturesque creek with a waterfall and bridge that runs through the arboretum. There is parking on site.

Spokane River Centennial Trail

Spokane River Centennial Trail is a lengthy, paved trail, running along the Spokane River. It stretches from the Idaho state line to Nine Mile Falls and is divided into three distinct parts: the urban section, the valley section and the Riverside State park section. The 37 mile (59.5 kilometer) trail is a haven for cyclists, hikers and runners of all ages and levels of fitness. The Riverside State section is the most challenging part, and the most beautiful, with scenic views and lush green zones on either sides.

This beautiful state park, bisected by the Spokane River, is a top destination for families, thrill-seekers, and nature lovers. Riverside State Park facilitates exhilarating activities such as white-water rafting, canoeing, kayaking, hiking, horse-riding and biking. The Bowl and Pitcher, a naturally occurring phenomenon of huge basalt boulders by the river, is a popular attraction; there is a swinging bridge across the river at this point. There are several picnic tables in this part of the park, and numerous campsites are also available.
